The programme for the Christmas Cracker is attached below (also linked from the Practice Aids page).

Also see the Practice Aids page for SATB practice lines for the 2 Boosey & Hawkes carols (in the Koor section) and a video & score of the Bee Carol (in the YouTube section).

Practice lines for the Oxford carols are available on John Fletcher music (they are still in copyright so require a paid subscription.)  I will add links to each of them shortly, but meanwhile you can search by their title on JFM if you want a head start!

Welcome to our new website! The site is built using the Making Music's own platform, which we hope in time will simplify the management of not just the website, but of the choir itself.

If there are any major issues with the site (e.g. pages not working properly or erroneous content) please contact Matt at webmaster@dartington-community-choir.co.uk - otherwise bear with us while we iron out minor wrinkles with the help of the Making Music team.

    • This autumn we are preparing Brahms’ German Requiem (Peters Edition) for performance on Sunday 26th November 2023 in The Great Hall. The accompanying pieces will be Brahms' Schicksalslied, a sublime choral work and three songs for our soloists.
    • We will also be preparing Christmas music for the Rowcroft service on Sunday 10th December at Buckfast Abbey and our Christmas Cracker on Monday 11th at Dartington.
    • The  annual workshop next February 24th 2024 at Buckfast Abbey, with a programme including Vivaldi's Gloria. Tori Longdon of the Stay At Home Choir will lead.
    • In the spring term, we will be working on Verdi's Requiem for performance on Sunday  21st April 2024 in The Great Hall.
    • The summer term is our usual lighter programme with the end-of-season sing-through and party.
